Sleep deprivation and kid's sickness aside
So I try to remember these simple steps.
- A nightly routine ...and like the kids stick to it
- Reduce alcohol consumption (not that I drink much)
- Avoid caffeine and a heavy meal or snack before bedtime
- Light exercise in the early evening helps you sleep deeper
- Warm bath or shower if you prefer
- Make a list for tomorrow ... but no thinking , worrying or excessive planning
- Temperate even room temperature ...more than 18 ° but less then 30 °
- Dark & quiet room (earplugs if necessary)
- Journaling or discussing what is worrying you with your spouse
- Set a bedtime and stick to it ...
